DescriptionBorn Li Chuan about 500 AD, he was a famous and respected Taoist teacher who practiced astral projection. In this state his soul left his body and traveled to study with a great sage, Shi Chang. He studied so intensely and for such a long time that his students thought him dead and buried his body. So when his soul returned, it had to find another body to inhabit. Unfortunately the only body available was that of a crippled old beggar. Li was so frustrated with his new body that he twisted the old mans cane into an iron crutch. Thus his nickname Iron Crutch Li or Li Tie Kuai. He was the acknowledged leader of the Eight Immortals. His fighting style is characterized by his limp and by the dozens of difficult kicking combinations.
